5PCom Gets HackerSafe Certified

5PCom is pleased to announce our decision to enroll in ScanAlert's HackerSafe Certification program.  We felt the decision to do so lends itself to the best interest of our customers, both in terms of online safety, as well as overall peace of mind. Besides, considering our voip service (by definition, obviously...) is delivered entirely via the internet, the least we can do as a trusted VoIP provider is to take every precaution to protect the identities of our customers both during the online signup process, and thereafter.

ScanAlert has become a leading authority in online security, and the HackerSafe logo has become increasingly common on ecommerce websites. And for good reason. The program scans many processes running on a particular website, and identifies threats ranging from minor to serious, and then makes recommendations to the site owner how to resolve those threats. The great part is, if the threat level is serious, the HackerSafe certificate is automatically disabled, until the security problem is resolved and verified via another ScanAlert scan. This prevents site owners from boldly displaying the certificate while ignoring security issues.

We think our customers will appreciate our decision to get HackerSafe certified, and we hope it gives them that much more peace of mind about their voip service with 5PCom.  If you are shopping around and trying to make a decision about a VoIP provider, we hope it makes your decision that much easier.
